Raymond Pope was born and raised in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
He started working for a large utility company when he was 20 years old and spent 23 years there as a Mechanic, Welder and Fabricator.
In November of 2001, he acquired a rare eye disability called downbeat nystgamus.
After 4 years of trying to adjust to living with a disability, a lot of prayer and many bad days, he took advice from a family member and attempted to build rustic furniture. From the minute he tried it, Ray was hooked.
Although Ray struggles to focus on a daily basis due to his eye disability (his eyes beat all day long so everything he looks at is in constant motion), he now makes rustic furniture when his eyes allow him to.
